Yoga

Peggy Burt holds a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah, where she danced with Ballet West. Peggy performed, choreographed and taught dance across the country for more than 20 years, from New York to Los Angeles.  She has performed with such companies as Spectrum Dance Theatre in Seattle and Lineage Dance here in Pasadena.  She is currently a Producer at the Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena.  After a long and rewarding career in dance, Peggy fell in love with yoga.  She is an RYT 500-hour yoga and meditation teacher who has taught in the San Gabriel Valley since 2016.  She received her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Yoga Works in 2014, completing additional yoga teacher trainings in the areas of therapeutic, pre-natal, gentle and accessible yoga.  She received her advanced 300-hour yoga teacher training from Rene Quenell of Yoga Madre. As a life-long dancer, Peggy first came to yoga for physical healing, and stayed for the benefits to mind, heart and spirit.  She received certifications in Yin Yoga with Addie deHilster, Reiki with Rene Quenell, Yoga Nidra with Tracee Stanley and training in Trauma-Informed Yoga with Jill Ippolito. Peggy currently teaches at Yoga House in Pasadena.  Peggy believes that yoga connects us to our own hearts and to each other.  For young dancers, it is a way to tap into a deep well of creativity, connection and flow.  She is thrilled to join the faculty!
