Pasadena Dance Theatre is thrilled to announce that Arturo Fernandez will be teaching an Open INT/ADV Master Class on Friday, July 26th from 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM $20
ARTURO FERNANDEZ, Former Ballet Master Emeritus at LINES Ballet, has been an integral part of LINES Dance Center as one of the teachers for the open classes. He started the first ever LINES Ballet Summer Program for pre-professional dancers and was instrumental in being the coordinator and instructor for the Alonzo King Professional Workshop. He has also been the coordinator and teacher for most of the LINES Ballet auditions and has set Alonzo's choreography on companies and university worldwide including the Royal Swedish Ballet, NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Washington University in St Louis, to name a few. Fernandez has taught master classes to Lyon Opera Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Paul Taylor Dance, Robert Moses' Kin, Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Westside Ballet Academy, Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal, and many schools and universities where LINES Ballet has toured. He has been a master teacher, choreographer and coach for LINES Ballet's Education Programs. Finally, he assisted Alonzo King in creating a new ballet for the San Francisco Ballet which premiered in 2018. At present he resides in Cathedral City with his husband and their dog Eddie and is an active member of the Task Force raising funding for the creation of the Palm Springs AIDS Memorial which will have its home in the park adjacent to the Palm Springs Art Museum.

BOBBY BRISCOE has been working as a professional ballet dancer since he was 19. In his career spanning over 20 years, he has worked worldwide, including engagements in Japan, Canada, Thailand, Germany, China, Hungary and the USA. Dancing classical roles such as Othello and Prince Siegfried and world class choreographer works by George Balanchine, Alonzo King, Helen Pickett, Annabelle Ochoa-Lopez, Donald Byrd, Val Caniparoli, Marco Geocke, and many more. As a dance teacher, he has worked for the School of Sacramento Ballet, the Luna Negra Dance Theater in the USA, the Ocean School of Ballet in Japan and the Theater Hagen. In 2021 and 2022, he received artist grants from both the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Lüneburg Regional Association for two dance projects. In August of 2024, Bobby Briscoe will be continuing in his position as Assistant to the Ballet Director at Bremerhaven Ballett of Stadttheater Bremerhaven.
